Jobberman is Nigeria's No.1 Recruitment website with over 2.5 million job applicants and 60,000 employers nationwide.
The company is headquartered in Marina, Lagos. Jobberman.com is building the best destination in Africa for job applicants and employers and has a corporate mission to help people find their dream jobs and help employers find the right people they need to be successful.
Jobberman prides itself as the largest recruitment website in sub-Saharan Africa in terms of job volume, traffic, and membership.
In partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, Jobberman aims to provide Nigerian job seekers with the skills they will need to enhance their chances of securing work in an overcrowded job market and place them in dignified work.
The main goal was to conduct calibrated pre- and post-training remote assessments.
The partnership aims to train 5 million job seekers and place 3 million in dignified employment over the next five years. Training will be focused on soft skills such as emotional intelligence, business etiquette, and time management. It will be delivered online and offline for people with limited access to the internet.
To initiate this project, Jobberman designed a training program to help the aspirants learn the necessary soft skills.
Jobberman team was already using iMocha for assessing candidates on their portal. So, their team decided to leverage iMocha for the Mastercard project as well. Mastercard, Jobberman, and iMocha teams brainstormed to select job-relevant skills and divide them into 7 categories:
iMocha along with Jobberman created pre-and post-training assessments. Mastercard Foundation chose 4 proficiency buckets
Candidates were assessed and provided training as per their proficiency bucket. After completion of the training, candidates were reassessed and received certificates as per their proficiency levels.
Since the launch of the soft-skills training program, over 50,000 youngsters have successfully been placed in dignified work between April and December.
